Learning Objectives

 

Upon completion of this educational activity, participants should be able to:   

  • Evaluate reasons for determining tropism at various time points

  • Discuss clinical protocol for determining tropism in the undetectable patient and considerations of when to re-test

Purpose Statement

 

The purpose of this activity is to assist providers in the consideration of recent data related to ART agents in various scenarios and in weighing therapeutic trade-offs when using regimens that may contain one or more partially active agents.

 

Target Audience

 

The program is intended for physicians and other healthcare providers treating HIV-positive patients, especially those who are seeking clinically-relevant and comprehensive information on viral resistance. Participants should have basic scientific knowledge and understanding of HIV disease and its treatment.
